European Vocational Skills Week

24 Lis

The 21st and the 22nd of November 2017 were very “vocational” in Zespół Szkół nr 8 in Szczecin, Poland. On the first day the school was visited by 120 kids who wanted to discover their talents in administration, marketing and tourism business. Sixty 7-year-olds and fifty-nine 12-year-olds did their best to cope with money, transport, advertising and hotel tasks. They seemed to take the challenge and were deeply involved in all the jobs and exercises prepared for them by our students and teachers. After two hours of occupational fun, both groups decided to work in the economics, logistics, hospitality and advertising industry J in their future. Take a glance at some photos.

The next day was more serious. Thirty-seven people at the age of 15 came to visit the school and get some career counseling. They also tried themselves doing some simple jobs connected with the administration, marketing and tourism business. So much were they engaged in the tasks that they decided to come back in September for good. Here are some photos from the event.

All of us cannot wait the main European Vocational Skills event which is going to take place on the 6th of December 2017 at 5.30 p.m. in Zespół Szkół nr 8 in Szczecin, Poland. The participants of foreign workplacement project (Erasmus+, POWER) are going to receive their documents certifying the language and occupational skills acquisition – 67 students!!!.

We will be honoured by many guests e.g. the representation of Szczecin Education Board, our partner – North West Academy of English in Derry (GB), parents, media and many more. We will let you see the report and the photos here: www.zs8.szczecin and https://www.yammer.com/europeanvocationalskillsweeknetwork
